12th Grade Students

Who you are:

You are a student entering 12th grade, or already in 12th grade, who needs to accelerate into the college process.

What’s Included:

  • 15 one-hour video sessions per school. year with your college counselor

  • Curated college list based on merit and interests

Follow-up Support:

  • Work with the same counseling professional for the duration of 12th grade (15 sessions for the year)

  • Email access to your counselor until the day you graduate high school

  • Financial Aid resources

  • Understanding your next steps when you receive college decisions

  • Wellness checks

Specialized plan curated for each student.

While a specialized plan will be created for each student, there are suggested topics that need to be covered during a certain time of year.

  • This is the most important time during 12th grade.

    • Finalize testing (SAT, ACT, TOEFL, IELTS)

    • College essay completion

    • All applications, letters of recommendation, financial aid applications and supporting documents must be completed

  • During this time, you will have most, if not all of your college applications submitted.

    • Finalize any applications with January deadlines

    • Review application decisions (acceptance, denial, deferral, waitlist)

    • Review financial aid options and scholarships

    • Make a decision by May 1st - “committed day for all US colleges”

    Each college will have a different deadline and multiple deadline options. Get support on understanding the differences and what is the most beneficial for you.

    Colleges require anywhere between 1 and 3 letters of recommendation from each student.

    Get support on how to build connections with teachers, mentors, and other adults in your life that can help put these letters of recommendation together.

  • College Essay

    Your college essay is one of the most important parts of your application. Here, you have the opportunity to tell a story that allows admissions counselor to see you as a unique individual with diverse assets that would be valuable to a college.

  • Resume

    Your resume includes everything you worked on outside of the classroom. Colleges hold this to a high standard, but are looking for dynamic, continuous students. Learn more with your counselor.
