  • The best time to begin college counseling is when you are transitioning from 8th to 9th grade. The moment you begin your high school career, every decision you make will impact your college plans. It’s never too late to get professional support, we welcome students at any time during their high school career.

  • As you work with your college counselor on career exploration, we will be able to help you curate a list of colleges that meet your academic needs, social interests while also matching your merit and credentials. The earlier you begin to work with your counselor, the more realistic it is to work towards specific college goals.

  • College counselors have extensive knowledge and experience in the college admissions landscape. We provide personalized guidance based on your individual strengths, interests and goals. We are up-to-date on admission requirements, trends and policies that will help you navigate each complex application seamlessly.

  • Your counselor will join you a video call where you will be invited to turn on your camera. Each session will begin with a check-in and any questions the student may have. The counselor will have an agenda for the day with specific topics to be covered. Some sessions may include more educational time while others will have more actionable items. Each program is tailored to students’ needs and will be amended as needed. Students in the Jersey City/Hoboken area have the option to attend in-person sessions.

  • Absolutely. College counselors can help you develop a strategic approach to showcase yourself to colleges. The earlier you work with a counselor, the more support you can get to help identify your unique qualities, experiences and achievements to make you a strong candidate down the line. We offer guidance on selecting appropriate courses, extracurricular activities and leadership opportunities to enhance your application.

  • Many college counseling programs only select high-achieving students to ensure that their statistics remain at an all time high. At Grow to College, we do not make you go through an application process to join the program. We accept students of all learning aptitudes. Additionally, as Licensed Counselors, we also offer mental health and wellness support to our students.

  • Our program is designed to help students discover their own drive and intentions. We offer family sessions to help parents find the right approach with their children when it comes to executive functioning skills and career exploration.
