I began my high school years as a ball of frenetic energy: nervous about grades, college admissions, social situations, and always my own biggest critic. Ms. Trikha was there for me through it all. As my counselor, she saw and nurtured the potential, curiosity, and dreams bubbling inside of me. With her open and generous heart, Ms. Trikha helped me navigate the tough emotions that come with growing up. She encouraged me to be kinder to myself and through our almost weekly conversations, helped me step into myself with more confidence and care. On the academic side, Ms. Trikha always went the extra mile to resolve any issues with my course scheduling and consistently offered amazing counsel about college admissions. Her ability to anticipate trouble-spots and solve problems helped me optimize my high school experience and lead with my best foot forward when it came time for college applications. With Ms. Trikha’s help, I was accepted to schools like Princeton, Stanford, Columbia, Brown, Dartmouth, and more. But even besides that, I know I’m a fuller, more open person because I had Ms. Trikha in my corner all four years of high school. I would highly recommend you work with her and bring your most wondering, most eager, most funny selves to your meetings. Ms. Trikha will see you for who you are and who you’re becoming - and you’ll be better because of it.

Ms. Trikha was by far the best fit for me as a high school guidance counselor. I am so fortunate that I was assigned to have her as my go-to for any concerns regarding academics such as course selection. When my path with course selection was thrown off track, Ms. Trikha knew exactly how to hone in on my strengths and guide me towards the best options for me, while allowing me to take point on the final decision. As I applied to colleges, Ms. Trikha's exceptional interpersonal skills made me feel very comfortable to be honest about my aspirations as well as what I looked for in a school to find the best universities geared towards my goals inside and outside the classroom. Right off the bat, it was clear to me how talented she was at helping students take their authentic selves and show universities what each individual student can uniquely bring to the table. Always encouraging and pushing me to go above and beyond, Ms. Trikha helped me find the self-confidence  I needed to understand how all my different pieces played a role in creating a well-rounded and valuable student.

Ms. Trikha is a wonderful person to work with regarding the college process! I was fortunate to have Ms. Trikha as my counselor when she first started her career, and she was the only person at the time who understood the struggles I was having when it came to the college process. Coming from similar backgrounds, she always made me feel comfortable and feel better about whatever issue I was facing. Oftentimes in the college process, I found people were trying to push me towards ideas of what my future should look like, but Ms. Trikha didn't make me feel pushed to do anything I didn't see myself doing years down the road. She was always attentive and considerate with the way she was with her students, making sure their voices were heard and that they got to call the shots on their future. She tailors her students' experiences, skills, and goals in a way that helps them gain the confidence they need during and after the college process. She looks out for her students, and no matter how many times they go to her, she is always ready to listen and help.
